For one of the happiest couples I know, there was no doubt we’d shoot anywhere other than the happiest place on earth. Nicole and David are both incredibly talented Disney cast members and this Disney World couples session was hands down one of the most carefree, fun shoots I’ve ever worked on. 

As a wedding photographer, the only thing better than capturing two people crazy in love is capturing two people crazy in love who ALSO happen to be some of your closest friends. I first met Nicole and David five years ago when we were performing together at the Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse in Cocoa, Florida, but our friendship truly blossomed when David and my boyfriend, Allen, moved to Los Angeles in 2015. Through those always exciting and sometimes trying days of long distance, Nicole and I had each other. Over girls weekends at home in Florida and cross country flights to visit the boys, we forged a “we’re in this together!” bond. 

Now, 5 years later, we’re happily living in the same places as our partners, and that’s reason enough to celebrate with a couples session that’s all about those giddy, can’t stop smiling feelings. It’s so special to know Nicole and David’s love story, to have watched them evolve both individually and as a couple, and, now, to have the opportunity to bring their relationship to life on camera. I am just so darn lucky to call these two friends and SO excited to share this playful and fun couples photoshoot with you.

Falling in Love on Stage

Nicole and David are two of the silliest, kindest, nerdiest, most passionate people you will ever meet. Put them together and they light up a room with warmth, laughter, and constant dreaming. They’re performers who bring so much joy to those around them, so it’s no surprise that they first met while on the cast of the Wizard of Oz back in 2012. These theater fiends were friends for two years before coincidentally taking the same summer camp job in 2014. Between wrangling kids and managing campfire productions, the co-counselors began to fall in love. 

On their first real date, they went out to see the musical Jersey Boys, and, over the next several years, they spent much of their time together performing in local community theater shows throughout the Orlando area. Then, as if bringing their talents to the stage wasn’t enough, Nicole and David were both given the opportunity to perform at the happiest place on earth. Now, this incredible couple spends their days at Disney––a true happy ending (or beginning, rather!) for an amazing love story and journey. 

Dancing Through Disney World

Now, if you know me, you are 0% surprised that I jumped at the chance to do a Disney World couples session. You can’t beat the fun that we had dancing in the park, traveling through the Epcot World Showcase, and twirling around the Moroccan Pavilion. 

From stealing kisses in the crowd to breaking out moves at every chance to throwing in a foot pop just for good measure, Nicole and David brought a shot of energy and laughter to a place already known for its overflowing joy. This was absolutely one of those days where I had to pinch myself...is this really my job?!
