If you can tear yourself away for a second from gushing over Kimberli and Jorge’s gorgeous Palm Springs engagement session, let us tell you about this giddy-in-love couple. These two prove the best kind of love can be one that simmers over the years. They first met when Kimberli was a freshman in high school, and Jorge, her brother’s best friend, would hang around the house. Innocent crushes flew under-the-radar for years, until Christmas 2012 when these two went out for a movie date –– with Kimberli’s brother and parents’ blessing (yes, old-fashioned romance is still alive!). 

The two were engaged seven years later at a Christmas party surrounded by loved ones (funny story: Jorge had planned on proposing Christmas morning, but Kimberli’s savvy mother told him, “No, she’s going to expect that!”). Now, 11 years after first meeting, they’re happily married,

When you’re around Kimberli and Jorge, it’s impossible not to feel overwhelmed with love. They are the warmest people, who bring their friends in and support them endlessly. They love a simple taco date night, and Jorge brings a smile to Kimberli’s face with notes and surprises he leaves around the house. This genuine love makes them easy to photograph –– their faces say it all. They care deeply.

A Palm Springs Engagement Session

Of course, being with a couple like Kimberli and Jorge is always a delight, but these two truly crushed their engagement session. They went with two looks, a casual t-shirt and jeans vibe, as well as all-out Hollywood glamour. We had a late afternoon session for the laid-back photos, which felt like hanging out with friends. 

When they got dolled up, we hit golden hour and the result was jaw-dropping. These two lovebirds gave us a few sultry looks and we’re keeping our fingers crossed one of those close-ups ends up framed on their wall. 

We’re pretty sure they feel the same. When asked her favorite part of the engagement session, Kimberli answered “The whole session was absolutely magical. Jorge and I have never done a photography session before and we were both extremely nervous. Megan and Allen were, from the start, so comfortable to be around. Just being there with Jorge, showing our love for each other, that was my favorite part!”
